Pan Fried Chickpeas Recipe

Pan Fried Chickpeas are so quick and easy to make for a last minute appetizer, you can always keep a can or two around just in case! They’re a total crowd pleaser.

Pan Fried Chickpeas are definitely on my top list of favorite ways of eating these tender little morsels. A close second is hummus, thanks to the spreadable texture. Hopefully there’s some roasted red peppers on that hummus!

My third fave chickpea recipe is falafel. I love falafel.

Uncooked chickpeas are not my favorite, although my daughter has loved them straight out of the can ever since she was a toddler.

I don’t get it. No thanks. I don’t really care for the flavor at all, but the texture is just fine.

These Pan Fried Chickpeas are versatile and are gluten free, vegan, and can be served to guests who have allergies (unless they’re allergic to chickpeas!) Keep this recipe handy and feel a little more prepared when you entertain guests with allergies.

My favorite thing about recipes like this is you can make it last minute, even if you need an appetizer, but didn’t have one planned. These actually make a really good snack to take with you on the go too.

Another option for an appetizer that is super simple is Spicy Roasted Chickpeas, also here on Food Fanatic. It’s always good to have options, right? You might want to keep this one handy too.

I used my go-to spices for taco seasoning to make these, but you can switch it up and use your favorite spice blend. Add a little cayenne pepper for some heat, along with a few squirts of hot sauce, and you can make Pan Fried Chickpeas with a kick!
