Oven Fried Ravioli Recipe

Oven Fried Ravioli can be made into an easy week night dinner or serve it as an appetizer. Either way, your family will love these!

I’m half Italian so ravioli was on my dinner often when I was growing up. Ravioli are easy to make and can be served with a simple Greek salad on the side for a completed dinner.

These ravioli are flavorful, crispy and a bit different than the ones I had when growing up. Instead of sauce being poured over them, I serve them with my 25 Minute Marinara Sauce for dipping.

The bread crumbs give the ravioli extra flavor and extra crunch.

Why Bake Oven Fried Ravioli?

I prefer to bake my ravioli rather than frying them. This saves on calories and also is much easier.

I hardly ever deep fry anything as a pot of hot oil intimidates me. I also prefer not to clean up the mess.

Wouldn’t you rather clean a baking sheet pan over a pot of oil?

While a plate of Creamy Sundried Tomato Ravioli needs to be eaten with a fork, these Oven fried Ravioli are perfect finger food. And my family sure loves finger food!

Sometimes I make a few other appetizer-type foods like Spiced Shrimp Cocktail and Puff Pastry Pepperoni Pizza for a fun dinner. This is perfect to also make on a Friday night.

Add a cocktail and you have yourself a party!

What Type Of Ravioli Should You Use?

For this ravioli dish, I use refrigerated ravioli. They are coated in an egg wash and bread crumbs.

I bake them on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray or lined with parchment paper for easy clean up.

These Oven Fried Ravioli are very versatile because you can choose any flavor of ravioli that you like. I make plain cheese ones often, but other types of ravioli would work.

My local grocery store sells sausage and meat ravioli which my husband loves. My daughter eats vegetarian, so she prefers spinach and cheese ones.

No matter what ravioli you choose, they will come out really tasty!
