This Raspberry Peach Cottage Cheese Smoothie is packed full of protein, and so creamy. You’ll love this bright, fresh start to the day.

At the beginning of the year I posted a recipe for a blueberry smoothie with cottage cheese. I love the protein that cottage cheese adds, plus the creamy texture.

With the holidays upon us (I’ve already eaten too many Pumpkin Hand Pies!) and New Year resolutions soon to follow, I thought I’d get a jumpstart on healthy eating with this all new Raspberry Peach Cottage Cheese Smoothie.

I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s worth saying again: smoothies are a great way to ensure you eat at least one healthy meal a day. And they’re not just for breakfast!

Plus, they’re so easy to jazz up with extra nutrition and flavors. You can add protein powder or oats (keeps you fuller longer), chia or flax seeds, spinach or kale and the list goes on and on. If you’re adventurous, you can add carrots like my Orange Carrot Smoothie.

I do have an actual recipe listed at the end, but it’s more like a guideline than a rulebook. Adjust to your taste and diet as necessary. All blenders are not the same, so you may need to add more or less liquid.

Sometimes fruit can be more or less sweet, so you’ll need to adjust the amount of honey. I use the honey my dad harvests from his own bees, but you can also use stevia or agave to sweeten (or none at all!).

I love to use frozen fruit for smoothies. It’s convenient, it’s fresher than I can get in the produce aisle this time of year and it makes my smoothies nice and thick without adding any ice.

The cottage cheese also makes it thick and creamy. The protein boost is one of the many health benefits cottage cheese offers as well.

Please ensure your cottage cheese is low sodium or you’ll be in for an unpleasant surprise. That type of cottage cheese is best suited for lasagnas. Be sure to blend thoroughly so there are no little curds remaining and enjoy!
