Purple Cow Milkshake Recipe

Purple Cow Milkshake gets its name from grape juice. Amazing and refreshing!

A few years ago my family was introduced to a Purple Cow milkshake. Have you ever heard of one? We actually ate at The Purple Cow restaurant, so it we obviously couldn’t leave without trying a Purple Cow.

It was so delicious, my son and I drank every last drop. Since that time I have been trying to make some time to remake them at home, but the reality is, we rarely drink milkshakes at home so it kept getting put on the backburner. Really they just need to open the restaurant near our home and we would be in heaven.

My husband started talking about milkshakes a few weeks ago, including how much he was craving one. I knew I had to get the ingredients to make Purple Cow Milkshakes again.

Here in Oklahoma it has been unseasonably warm, which meant we got a head start cleaning out our flowerbeds. We were so warm that a milkshake was much needed, so I headed inside to whip them up.

These purple cow milkshakes are simple to make using grape juice, vanilla ice cream, milk, and ice. That’s all you need! The best juice to use is the frozen grape juice concentrate. Once you have all your ingredients it’s as simple as blending and pouring. Then enjoy them outside and cool off this spring!

We headed back outside to clean out more flowerbeds as we sipped on our milkshakes. It’s funny how flowerbeds seem like such a good idea until you have to clean them out in the spring. I’m always amazed at the things that find their way to the flowerbeds; in our case it’s almost always lots of random toy cars, along with a massive supply of leaves.

Our milkshakes were sipped away and our flowerbeds are nice and clean just in time to start planting spring flowers!

Are you ready for a break today? Sit back and enjoy a Purple Cow Milkshake!
