Why Make This Cranberry Jalapeño Dip Copycat Recipe
Perhaps the million dollar question – why make this cranberry jalapeño dip if you can simply buy it at the store? Honestly, the answer is really quite simple.
For starters, I love being able to switch up the flavors slightly so suit my palate adding more or less jalapeño, cilantro and even adjusting the sugar.
Likewise it’s great to be able to make a larger or smaller batch depending on when and where I am serving it and the size of the crowd.
Finally, I personally really enjoy being in the kitchen chopping and mixing so anytime I can do that making something from scratch I’m choosing that option.

Ingredients
- Cranberries – Use fresh cranberries when making this dip – canned or frozen cranberries won’t have the same flavor or texture

- Scallions – Add crunch and a touch of mild onion flavor with the addition of chopped scallions

Step 3. Cover the cranberry mixture and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 4. Remove the cranberry mixture from the refrigerator and strain through a fine mesh sieve until the excess liquid has drained completely.

Step 5. Reserve the excess liquid and set aside.

Step 7. Mix well to combine, adding a tablespoon or two of reserved liquid at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.
