How to Make Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you want to make soft chocolate chip cookies, use two sticks of butter and add a couple teaspoons of cornstarch to the batter.

Also, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown. You also could use a higher ratio of light brown sugar to white sugar.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 large Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 1/2 cups Oatmeal blended into a fine powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 24 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  • Once creamy, add the eggs, one at a time, mixing in between additions. Add the vanilla and mix.
  • Mix in the flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Only mix until the dough forms. Be careful not to over mix!
  • Use a wooden spoon or a rubber spatula to mix in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  • Scoop dough onto an ungreased parchment or silicon lined baking sheet by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are just barely golden.
  • Let cool on baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
