How to Make Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
If you want to make soft chocolate chip cookies, use two sticks of butter and add a couple teaspoons of cornstarch to the batter.
Also, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown. You also could use a higher ratio of light brown sugar to white sugar.

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 large Egg
- 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 1/2 cups Oatmeal blended into a fine powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 24 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Once creamy, add the eggs, one at a time, mixing in between additions. Add the vanilla and mix.
- Mix in the flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Only mix until the dough forms. Be careful not to over mix!
- Use a wooden spoon or a rubber spatula to mix in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Scoop dough onto an ungreased parchment or silicon lined baking sheet by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are just barely golden.
- Let cool on baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
