Snickerdoodle Crack Corn Recipe

Snickerdoodle crack corn is a super easy, addictive treat! Crunchy, sweet, and cinnamony, it’s a great gifting idea, too.

I have been told that there are people who do not snack at night.

This is honestly beyond my comprehension. What do people do late at night while they read or watch Netflix? Just sit there with their hands in their laps? With their mouths empty? What is this madness?

It’s just super weird and refuse to get behind such bizarre behavior.

Obviously, I am a night time snacker. I was supposed to have stopped eating at night as part of my diet and exercise regimen, but then I decided that I actually like being a happy person so oh well, Cheetos in bed it is. YOLOOOO.

The fact that I actually eat snacks at night in my BED is something that disgusts several of my closest friends. For my entire life I’ve assumed that EVERYONE snacks in bed, only to find out that…it’s mostly just me.

Why would people NOT snack in bed, is what I want to know. Everyone knows that bed food tastes better! Hotel room service! Breakfast in bed! It’s delicious for a reason, people!

Yes, there are crumbs. It’s the price you pay and when I wake up in the morning with a stray cupcake crumb smooshed into the side of my thigh, I quietly accept it as part of the bed-food lifestyle.

I will not be sorry.

Also, bed wine is even better than bed snacks. Hashtag YOU ARE WELCOME.

This snickerdoodle crack corn is the kind of treat that is destined for late night bedtime snacking. It’s sweet, buttery, crunchy, and addictive. Also? It’s SO darn easy to whip up!!

If you’re not a bed-snacker (savage), this stuff is really great any time of day. It also makes a perfect food gift for a special neighbor or teacher in your life! Just package it up with a ribbon and a cute little tag and you’re all set.

Good luck saving some to give away, though! It’s too good.

Ingredients

  • 2 3.5 ounce packages Chester’s Butter Puffcorn
  • 24 ounces Vanilla Almond Bark melted
  • 1 cup Cinnamon Chips
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Open bags of Puffcorn and empty into a large pan — I like to use a large disposable roasting pan.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat almond bark with cinnamon chips,=, stirring every 20 seconds, until about halfway melted. If mixture becomes too thick, add a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  • Drizzle melted candy over the Puffcorn, stirring to coat. Use a large wooden spoon and continue to stir from the bottom until all of the Puffcorn is completely covered.
  • In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar all over the Puffcorn, stirring to coat. Let set before serving.
