I’m a sucker for a pretty Sangria recipe. I love making gorgeous drinks that pop with fresh fruit. This one has two kinds of apples, and some orange slices for a bit more flavour and colour.

Colourful drinks just taste better. I’m sure that’s just all in my head, but I honestly believe they do. There’s something about a gorgeous fruity cocktail that makes me smile.

I make Pomegranate Party Punch for a lot of family gatherings. My family just loves that one. I also make a stunning and tasty Cranberry Sangria as well. It’s delightful.

This one is a pretty mild sangria recipe. I tend not to like anything too strong or overwhelming. I like my drinks to be something you can sip without dancing on tables.

Not that there’s anything wrong with dancing on tables. We’ve all done it from time to time. Don’t pretend you haven’t been pulled off a bar top, or two before.

Moving on. Let’s talk about the holidays. I highly encourage everyone to have lots of wine on hand this holiday season. You can whip up a great sangria quickly when needed.

I also like to keep orange liqueur on hand whenever possible. It can take a drink from blah to BAM quickly. It’s like a secret weapon for the holiday season.

You’re also going to want to keep cinnamon sticks on hand as well. I love using them for sangrias or mulled wine. They add a nice earthiness to any fruity cocktail you make.

Plus you can use cinnamon sticks for hot chocolate as well. They work great for hot cocoa and also fancy coffee and teas you might want to whip over the holidays.

You can even use them as decorations on holiday packages. I love using kraft paper to wrap presents. Then I tie twine around the package with cinnamon sticks and little bells.

I know, I’m a holiday wrapping dork. And I’m totally okay with that. I’m also a holiday cocktail dork. I’m a wuss when it comes to cocktails. Feel free to amp up the alcohol in this.

You can add apple schnapps in this, or apple cider for added depth of flavour. Get creative and have some fun. Jazz this sangria up and go dance on some tables.
