When entertaining we love serving a spread of tasty dip recipes – here are a bunch of our favorites!
Let’s talk about dips! And no, I’m not talking about the 1996 smash hit “Da Dip." I know you 90’s kids know what I’m talking about.
As fun as that song is, I want to talk about the ultimate party food and the reason everyone gathers in the kitchen at parties – delicious dip recipes!
The warm-up before the main course, and my favorite appetizer, Designated Impulsive Party Snacks (D.I.P.S) have been around since the dawn of time.

The first recorded dip from 49 B.C. was Julius Caesar’s Chicken Salad Dip. This is the dip that would conquer much of Rome.
I made up that up, but it sounds legit, so I’m running with it! It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when dips came about as there are endless dip recipes out there.
For instance, hummus is a dip made from chickpeas that was eaten by Egyptians. I’m not saying Moses was a dip fan, but he was probably a dip fan.
Party dips, dessert dips, and even this sausage and cream cheese dip that reminds me of my favorite breakfast food, sausage gravy and biscuits! There is a dip for every occasion and every course.
Party Dip Recipes to Make For Your Next Party

Mexican Street Corn Dip Recipe by The Chunky Chef
Elotes (Mexican street corn) has become one of the newest food trends to take over the internet, and if you’ve ever had it then you understand why.
Charred corn and jalapeño are the highlights of this dip. Mixed with sour cream and mayo, lots of cotija cheese and Tajin, this is an instant crowd pleaser.

Hot Crab and Cream Cheese Dip Recipe by Pizzazzerie
This hot crab and cream cheese dip recipe is indulgence at its finest. Big chunks of crab with ooey gooey cheese and a little horseradish for some bite.
Serve this with toasted crostini, fresh veggies, or tortilla chips. It’s rich and decadent and if I were you, I would make a double batch – it won’t last long!

Bean Dip Recipe
Next up we have queso’s first cousin, bean dip. Many restaurants just combine refried beans and queso, but true bean dippers know that it takes a little more than that to satisfy our snack palate.
Think of it more like a deconstructed nacho. Beans and cheese living in harmony and topped off with your favorite garnishes such as onion, sour cream, avocado, and tomatoes.

Buffalo Bean Dip Recipe
I don’t know much about Buffalo, but I know I love their sauce. Wings, dips, pasta salad, it really is a wonderful condiment that brings life to any dish.
Not only is this a tasty dip, but it’s also made with chickpeas to give it a deliciously smooth texture. It’s also 100% vegetarian so everyone can indulge!

Brownie Batter Dip Recipe
I don’t know who comes up with things like this brownie batter dip recipe, but I could kiss them! One taste and you’ll know exactly what I mean.
This is a recipe for those that want to eat brownies but don’t want to wait for them to bake and then cool down. It’s me. This recipe is for me.
They suggest using fruit as your dipper. If I’m going this far, fruit is not happening. I’m reaching for vanilla wafers, chocolate chip cookies, or just a spoon.
Don’t judge me.

Chili Cheese Dip Recipe
This isn’t your typical simple chili cheese dip, it’s a fully involved magnum opus of dips. A winning homerun in the bottom of the 9th. A true masterpiece.
Shockingly, it contains no processed cheese. You know the one that comes in the brick and isn’t refrigerated at the grocery store.
Don’t get me wrong, that brick makes a great dip, but not like this.

Baked Feta Dip Recipe
Give me all the feta cheese! I could literally eat brick after brick of this tangy delicious cheese. Turn it into a dip or an appetizer and it’s only better!
It doesn’t get simpler than this recipe. Sauce in bottom of an oven safe dish, feta on top, sprinkled with red pepper flakes, and baked until all bubbly and melty.
I like to take it a step further and toss in a handful of halved cherry tomatoes until they blister. Serve this with toasted bread points and enjoy!

Cauliflower Hummus Recipe
A fun twist on hummus that subs out chickpeas for roasted cauliflower, mixes in an obscene amount of garlic with a nice tangy finish from fresh squeezed lemon, you will find yourself loving this cauliflower hummus recipe.
Because it’s keto, paleo, and vegan friendly it also means everyone gets in on the deliciousness and no one is left out of the dipping fun!

Cannoli Dip Recipe
This cannoli dip recipe may technically go against the Italian food bible, but this stuff is seriously amazing and makes a tasty, easy dessert you’ll love.
Dip pieces of waffle cones or broken pieces of pizzelle cookies for the ultimate indulgence. Show no restraint. Take no prisoners.

White Bean Dip Recipe
A delicious and flavorful dip that can be made up in just a few minutes with ingredients you likely have on hand, you need to try this white bean dip recipe.
If you want to make your dip up ahead of time for easier party prep, this bean dip freezes up very nicely and can even be made 48 hours in advance.

The Ultimate Guacamole Recipe
The star of the Tex-Mex family of dips, guacamole takes a backseat to no one. I love trying new variations and adding new flavors to make it really special.
This guacamole recipe is full of spicy flavors, creamy texture, and it’s actually quite healthy! That’s what I call the trifecta of goodness right there!

Whipped Goat Cheese Dip Recipe
You’re about to head out to a party and you just remembered you were tasked with bringing a dip and you completely forgot! No need to fret my pet.
With just a few fridge and pantry staples and your blender, you’ll have an amazing dip ready in few minutes with this whipped goat cheese dip recipe.
Toss all the ingredients in, blend until smooth, grab some crackers and out the door you go. You can do the dishes when you get home.

Homemade French Onion Dip Recipe
The French onion dip that you find at your local grocer is nothing like making this homemade French onion recipe. It’s not even from the same planet.
Homemade anything is always better, but that’s especially so in this case. Any recipe that starts off with caramelizing onions, is bound to be a great one.
They impart such amazing sweet and tangy flavors making the task of cooking them, totally worth it.
