The flavour of miso soup goes so well with a lot of different ingredients, not just the regular seaweed and tofu. One of the miso soup flavour combinations that is really delicious is potato, bacon, and corn! It makes the miso soup much heartier and more filling.

Potato, bacon, and corn are super simple ingredients that taste amazing together and this soup will make a great side dish or even main meal!

I love to eat miso soup nearly daily but sometimes it can get a bit boring having the same old flavour of seaweed and tofu every day so it’s good to try different ingredients. This potato, bacon, and corn combination was so delicious and the bacon especially brings an extra tasty flavour to the soup. The corn also goes very well with the miso.

This miso soup is a great dish to eat on a day when it’s cold because it’ll keep you warm and cozy. If you have a travel soup mug then you could pack this for lunch to take to work or school so you have a delicious and healthy home cooked soup to eat instead of spending your money on some take-away food.

It’s also a nice dish to eat when you’re ill because the miso has vitamins and minerals that are very nourishing for your body; it’s also very comforting, soothing, and easy to eat if you have a sore throat. Make sure not to boil the miso though, just let it simmer; otherwise it will kill the enzymes, which defeats its nourishing purpose!

I think this miso soup would be great as its own main dish because it’s got potatoes and bacon; you could just serve it with some rice and salad leaves and that would be a delicious meal. Or you could serve it with chicken. It’ll taste delicious either way! Enjoy!
