How do you toast frozen bread in the oven? It’s quick and easy – and we’ll show you how!
We all know that fresh bread has a fairly short shelf life — so freezing it is a great way to get the most bang for your buck and preserve the whole loaf until you’re ready to use it.
And the good news is that it’s really easy to make toast from your frozen slices of bread. You don’t even need to thaw them first! Here’s how to toast frozen bread in the oven.

Handy tip: Before freezing sliced bread, take a moment to prevent all the slices from sticking together. Just open the bag of fresh bread and manually separate each and every slice, then re-seal the bag. It only takes a minute, but you’ll be amazed how much easier it is to take out just one slice at a time from the freezer!
Note: The following method only works for sliced frozen bread — if you froze a whole, uncut loaf, you will need to thaw it and slice it before you can make your toast (sorry!).

To toast your frozen bread in the oven…
First, take out as many slices as you need from the freezer. The good thing about toasting bread in the oven is that you can toast multiple slices at once. With a toaster, you’re limited to just four at a time!
If your slices are frozen together (in other words, you hadn’t yet discovered our handy tip above!), separate them carefully with the edge of a butter knife.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F, then spread the slices of bread out on a baking sheet.
Put the baking sheet into the oven, on the middle rack.

Wait for around 5 to 6 minutes, then turn the bread slices over and continue to cook for at least 5 minutes more, until they reach the shade of golden brown you prefer.
It usually takes about 10 minutes in total for bread to toast in the oven, but because the slices were frozen when you started out, you might find they take a few minutes longer.

Making toast from frozen bread is GOOD for you!
Studies have shown that freezing food turns refined carbohydrates (the bad kind!) into resistant starch (the good kind). This means your body actually gets less calories from the bread than if you’d toasted it from fresh. How cool is that?
