2022 marks the fifth year that the coffee giant is giving away reusable holiday cups for one day only at participating locations.

For 25 years now Starbucks has featured festive holiday cups boasting different wintery designs. Fans of the coffee giant eagerly await the return of the cups all year.

A few years back, Starbucks leveled up their holiday game with the inagural Red Cup Day which has since become as iconic as Rudolph and Frosty.

Well, fans can officially rejoice because today is the day! That's right, today, November 17th, is Starbucks Red Cup Day 2022 and the holiday cheer is officially here!

With a cult following of caffeine fueled super fans, you can surely expect long lines on Red Cup Day - many stores are expected to run out of red cups within the first couple hours.

Otherwise, getting a cup is easy-peazy-mocha-cappucini! All you have to do is order a handcrafted holiday or fall beverage through the app or in person at your local Starbucks.

That's it! All you need to do is show up at a participating Starbucks location today, order your favorite festive beverage and you will receive the coveted reusable red cup.

I highly recommend the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato with an extra shot of espresso, which became a favorite this fall. It’s the perfect winter treat and 100% vegan!

This year’s red cup design will be the standard red cup with simple white ornaments, a celebratory message, and an acknowledgment to the 25th anniversary.

In addition to the holiday cup giveaway, guests that bring a reusable cup at any time of the year, receive 10 cents off their order, which adds up over the year for super fans.

Starbucks rewards members get even more perks, earning 25 bonus stars when forgoing a disposable cup by bringing in a reusable cup for their drink of choice.

You may remember a few years ago when the internet lost its ever-loving mind over the Starbucks red cup not having any designs, only a solid red cup and their green siren logo.

Many people were deeply offended, waging claims that beloved coffee brand was waging war on Christmas, thus a war on Christianity.

The rest of the country sat back in disbelief as people argued and insulted each other over a cup.

Whatever Starbucks motives were for making a solid red cup, is none of my business, but it looks like they have it figured out.

With $30 billion so far in 2022 and their busiest season ahead of them, I think they’ll be just fine.
