Gluten Free Lemon Crinkle Cookies Photo

If you're looking for something quick and easy, try these Lemon Crinkle Cookies. They use just a few ingredients, including almond flour, and are a great way to use up leftover egg whites.

Or perhaps you're in the mood for something a little more indulgent? These Gluten Free Chocolate Orange Cookies are dipped in melted dark chocolate and have a lovely soft, chewy texture that's sometimes hard to achieve when you're baking gluten-free. If you're not a fan of orange, try making them with lemon instead.

More fruity options include these decadent Chocolate Strawberry Cookies, these Oatmeal Cookies with Apple or these Apple Cardamom Cookies which are gloriously goo-ey and made with natural almond butter.

Gluten Gree Cookies for Chocolate Lovers

There are sooo many good options when it comes to gluten free chocolate cookies.

One of our favorite recipes is this one for Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies. Crisp on the outside and soft in the center, they are everything that a good cookie should be - plus they are made with Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder which has a deep, rich chocolate flavor.

We also love this recipe for Chocolate Ginger Cookies - the ginger gives them a delicious warmth - or you can use the classic combination of peanut butter and chocolate with these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Other gluten free chocolate-y treats include these Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies and these Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies.

Other Gluten Free Cookie Recipes to Try

Perfect for the holidays - or any time you fancy a treat - are these Peppermint Cookies, made with rolled oats and peanut butter.

If you can't choose between a chocolate chip cookie or an oatmeal raisin, try this Gluten Free Oatmeal Raisinet Cookies Recipe instead - it's the perfect combination of the two!

Gluten Free Spiced Pecan Cookies Photo

For a nutty treat, give these Gluten Free Spiced Pecan Cookies a whirl. They are a mouthwatering mixture of oven roasted pecans crushed into nut butter, mixed with gluten free flour, brown sugar, coconut oil and spices.

3 Tips for Gluten Free Baking

As you can see, going gluten free doesn't mean missing out on your favorite cookies! But there are a few important things to remember when baking without gluten to ensure you get the best results:

1. Don't just use gluten-free flour in place of regular flour in a recipe and expect perfect results. Look for proper gluten free recipes (like the ones above) that take into account the very big differences between gluten free flour and regular flour.

2. Bake more than you need! It's nice to have a treat on hand whenever you want one, but if you can't eat gluten a treat isn't always so easy to grab in a hurry. By baking extra and freezing it, you'll know that you'll always have access to a tasty cookie when you need it!

3. Follow the recipe carefully! Baking is quite an exact science anyway, so sticking to the recipe is always a good idea. But it's even more important with gluten-free baking, when adding or omitting an ingredient might ruin the texture of the finished product.
