Banana Daiquiri: A Taste of the Tropics

Summer is quickly fading but this tasty banana daiquiri will keep you dreaming of warmer days. Enjoy one tonight!

I have always had a serious love for bananas. Of course they are great with breakfast, but they are pretty amazing when thrown into a cocktail too. 
I like to use up my browner bananas because they are naturally sweeter. However, it’s not necessary they be super ripe for this recipe. It’s really up to you and your and preferred taste. 
Normally daiquiris would be made with white rum but this summer has been all about the dark rum for me. Especially black rum, which I used in my Pineapple Rum Cocktail Recipe

It has the most amazing flavor and brings a whole new level to just about any cocktail. Trust me on this addition! Black rum is a totally must. I also used it in my Caribbean Painkiller recipe, which is not to be missed! 

  2 Servings


  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk beverage, like so delicious coconut milk beverage
  • 1 lime, cut in half
  • 4 tablespoons super fine sugar
  • 3 cups ice cubes
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • 2 ounces black spiced rum


  1. In a blender add banana, coconut milk, juice from half a lime, sugar, ice cubes, triple sec and black rum.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glass and enjoy!


  • Use more or less sugar depending on the ripeness and sweetness of your bananas

    I've been looking for a new daiquiri recipe to serve to guests and since my wife is a big banana fan I think this may fit fill the bill.



    Simply love! Great use of browning bananas too. Of which I have way too many right now.
