Fluffernutter Milkshake Recipe

This Fluffernutter milkshake will make any peanut butter lover's day. Drink up!

It’s summer somewhere. Like, how it’s 5 o’clock somewhere? It’s summer somewhere.

Here in Florida, it’s felt like summer since March. We skipped spring this year (what little spring we usually get!), and went straight into temps in the upper 90s.

It’s been a scorcher already. I don’t like to think about what July is going to bring! If you don’t have summer weather yet, you just wait.

It’s right around the corner.

The bright side to sizzling-hot days is that there’s always an excuse to eat ice cream. Ice cream is the quintessential summer dessert.

Who would dare to argue with that? So creamy, sweet, and refreshing. It hits the spot during these dog days.

Growing up, one of my favorite ways to enjoy a bowl of vanilla ice cream was with a scoop of peanut butter on the side. That’s weird, right? But if you love peanut butter as much as I do, and you know I love peanut butter, then this seemed completely normal.

I didn’t even swirl the two together – for each bite, I would just grab a little bit of peanut butter and a spoonful of ice cream. Strange eating habit, yes.

Lately, I’ve been craving lots of ice cream, as I usually do this time of year, but I’ve been particularly partial to milkshakes! Maybe it’s because I’ve also had a renewed interest in protein shakes lately, so I’m just generally enjoying lots of meals in “shake” form. Who knows!

What I do know is that I found myself standing over my blender right in the middle of writing this. Just thinking about the deliciousness of this milkshake, I deeply contemplated ditching a sensible dinner, and trading it in for a Fluffernutter milkshake.

If you like peanut butter and marshmallow together, this milkshake has it all. There’s Nutter Butter cookies crushed right into the shake, along with a hefty scoop of creamy peanut butter, and a hefty ‘dose’ of marshmallow fluff.

It’s rich, decadent, and bursting with Fluffernutter goodness. Thankfully, you can enjoy it in about 5-10 minutes flat too!

Fluffernutter Milkshake Recipe

  2 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Marshmallow Fluff
  • 12 Nutter Butter Cookies, or peanut butter sandwich cookies
  • Whipped Cream, for topping

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine ice cream, milk, and peanut butter. Blend until just mixed.
  2. Add marshmallow fluff, and pulse until very smooth. The marshmallow will cool from the ice cream, and will need to be well-blended to incorporate into the milkshake.
  3. Add Nutter Butter cookies, and pulse until smooth.
  4. Divide among two tall glasses. Serve with whipped cream. Enjoy!
