Jamba Juice Peanut Butter Moo'd Smoothie: Homemade and the Best!

Ashton Swank | Something Swanky

You're just three ingredients away from the taste of Jamba Juice's Peanut Butter Moo'd. Really! THREE ingredients!

There are three things I adore about this Jamba Juice Smoothie recipe: 1) it tastes just like their Peanut Butter Moo'd, which is obviously the best smoothie in the world, 2) it only has 3 ingredients, and 3) none of those ingredients include ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Bam.

BAM. Best. smoothie. recipe. ever!

I grew up in North Carolina, and we didn't have any smoothie chains at all. The first time I tried a smoothie was in college, at the Jamba Juice on campus.

Peanut Butter Moo'd was the most decadent looking thing on the menu, so of course it's what attracted my immediate attention. I drank 2 smoothies every day my entire freshman year.

Obviously, a serious weight gain was imminent since Jamba Juice uses chocolate frozen yogurt in their chocolate smoothies. I'll tell you how to make these smoothies just like they do (did I mention my husband worked at Jamba Juice after high school??), but I'm also going to tell you how to make these just as yummy without the froyo, using frozen bananas instead! You can also sub in chocolate almond milk for the chocolate milk to make it even healthier.

I mean, I know you're not really supposed to say stuff like this ("best," "ever," etc..) But, whatever. If you have a taste for chocolate, bananas, and peanut butter at all, you're going to fall head over heels for this smoothie. It really is the best smoothie of all time in my book!

    1 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana, frozen and cut into 1" sections
  • 1 cup chocolate milk
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter

Directions

  1. Blend the frozen banana, chocolate milk, and cream peanut butter for 30 seconds or until smooth.
  2. Use a single serve blending cup if possible. If not, use a mason jar and any standard blender base! Or simply use your normal blender and pitcher, but double the servings.

Notes

If you want to make this smoothie just like they make it at Jamba Juice, simply use a normal banana (not frozen) and add 2 large scoops of chocolate frozen yogurt (about 3/4 cup). Otherwise, the other ingredients and directions stay the same!

Hello! I just made this recipe for my family last night. I wanted to make it because this is my moms favorite drink at jamba juice. My moms eyes went wide and she said she loved it. In fact, I am making it again for her today. My sister, who doesn't even like eanut butter, liked it, and so did my brother. Also, I loved it! Thank you so much, we love this recipe. :)

Ok I worked for Jamba for over 7 years, the smoothie recipe is 8 oz of Chocolate soy milk, 3-4 scoops of frozen yogurt, 1-2 scoop of frozen bananas, 2 table spoons of peanut butter, and 1 scoop of crushed ice then blended to perfection!

This recipe is actually NOT the Jamba Juice recipe at all. I just ordered Peanut Butter Moo'd at Jamba Juice and watched them make every step. Here is the REAL recipe for Peanut Butter Moo'd::: * 1 Cup of Chocolate Soy Milk
* 1 Cup of ice (they use crushed ice)
* 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter
* 1/2 a frozen banana (I use a real banana, cut it and freeze it for one hour)
* 2 scoops of Vanilla frozen yogurt Then blend together! This is the official Jamba Juice recipe!! :)

Jamba Juice doesn't have chocolate frozen yogurt. They use a chocolate dairy base that is pretty much chocolate milk, vanilla frozen yogurt, peanut butter, and frozen bananas.

I make these with almond milk and cocoa powder. Cuts out the extra ingredients that are in the chocolate milk. My kids and I are addicted!

I just tried this and it was soooo good! I have hoards of frozen bananas, but never use them! I can't drink milk so I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk and put in a little Nutella when I blended. Thanks for inspiring to finally eat my banans!

PLEASE, tell me where you got your "magic" mason jar! jeriannsphoto@aol.com

SO good! I used to go to jamba juice all the time, but like you, I try to keep my smoothies a little healthier these days. I adore the chocolate/peanut butter combo, so I'll definitely be making this treat!
