Paula Deen Orange Brownies Recipe
This orange brownies recipe comes to us from the kitchen of Paula Deen. She definitely knows her desserts!
Ingredients
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 4 large Egg
- 2 teaspoons Orange Extract
- 2 teaspoons Orange Zest divided
- 1 cup Confectioners Sugar
- tablespoon Orange Juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Spray a 13×9-inch pan with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, stir together sugar, flour and salt.
- Add butter, eggs, extract, and a teaspoon zest; beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Remove from oven and pierce cake in various spots with a fork.
- In a smaller bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar, orange juice and remaining teaspoon zest until smooth.
- Pour over warm cake.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
