30 Minute Beef and Broccoli Ramen Recipe
Nora Rušev | Savory Nothings30 Minute Beef and Broccoli Ramen Skillet is an easy weeknight dinner. Make it for your family tonight!
Have you ever grown your own broccoli? We just planted our first ever.
Twelve plants on twelve square feet. And they're looking good so far, even though they're in constant danger of slugs and toddlers.
Since we're doing the whole organic gardening thing, we spent hoursssss looking up companion planting.
You know, where you plant stuff together that will help each other grow.
So for broccoli? I was convinced it would go together with cauliflower.
I mean, come on. They go into broccoli and cauliflower pasta together, so surely they belong into the ground next to each other.
Well, organic gardening lesson learned, they don't.
Instead, we have bunches and bunches of cilantro growing between our broccoli. Apparently it wards off some broccoli-related bugs, guess they think cilantro tastes like soap?! 😬😂
If it works and all our twelve broccoli-babies grow into edible broccoli plants, I’m going to have a downright broccoli festival here.
So, basically, I'm growing this 30 Minute Beef and Broccoli Ramen Skillet, sans the cow.
I will say that we have a neighbors' chicken coming over to our kitchen window every morning, but I dutifully carry her back to her chicken friends.
If she turned into chicken ramen I would probably not get any more eggs to bake cake, and I simply cannot take that chance.
Anyways, in case you have bunches of garden-fresh broccoli hanging out around your house, you need to make this dish ASAP.
It’s full of flavor, quick to put together and tastes absolutely amazing.
I know a lot of people don’t associate measuring out condiments and spices with “quick and easy”, but I promise, if you value nutrition and taste buds that don't die once you take your first bite, the effort is worth it.
Honestly? It takes two minutes longer than throwing stir-fry sauce from a bottle on top. Don’t do that to your lovingly grown broccoli. It only deserves the very best.
And in case the cilantro doesn’t keep away those broccoli-eating beasts? Well, then you have to take your beef and make this Beef Tips and Gravy Skillet instead.
