The famed television personality and cookbook author declared it too hot to cook this week. She's not wrong.

Everyone's favorite hostess, Ina Garten, took to Instagram this week where she declared it Too Hot to Cook Week on account of the unending summer heat.

The Barefoot Contessa, known for dishes like meatloaf, lasagna and lobster mac and cheese also knows a thing or two about salads and cocktails as it were.

With record breaking heat smothering much of country, the last thing most of us want to do is heat up the kitchen or even stand in front of a hot grill cooking.

Luckily, Ina is serving up all of her favorite summer dishes all week long and not a single one requires any cooking. We are officially on board with that energy.

Aptly so, Ina kicked off Too Hot to Cook Week with a refreshing pomegranate spritzer recipe from her forthcoming cookbook, Go-To Dinners, currently available for pre-order in advance of its upcoming October release.

Made with pomegranate juice, freshly squeeze limes and sparkling water, Ina also recommends a splash of vodka to kick things up a notch.

Dropping a fresh no-cook recipe each day, Ina quickly followed up with an heirloom tomato and blue cheese salad that is the stuff of hot weather dreams.

This tomato salad is packed with flavor and bursting with summer freshness from all the ripe, juicy heirloom tomatoes with nary a heat source in sight.

Ina's twist on a classic lobster roll, next on the menu for Too Hot to Cook Week are Ina's lobster and avocado sandwiches served on soft potato rolls.

Tossed in mayonnaise with lots of fresh lemon and diced celery for a bit of crunch, nothing tastes more like summer than these sandwiches.

Be sure to follow along on Instagram as Ina shares more vibrant summer recipes all week long. We can't wait to see what she's serving up next, but whatever it is, it's sure to be delicious!
