Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Crushed Oreo Cookies
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Melted
  • 12 ounces Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 5 Egg Yolk
  • 1 3/4 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Butter Softened
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter
  • 2-2 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine cookie crumbs, sugar, and butter.
  • Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips at 30-second intervals until melted and smooth.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks, heavy cream, and vanilla.
  • Gradually whisk the egg mixture into the melted chocolate, being careful not to scramble the eggs.
  • Pour the mixture over the crust.
  • Place the springform pan on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until center is almost set.
  • Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Run a knife around the edge to loosen, and release the springform pan edge.
  • Refrigerate for 3-4 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
  • Meanwhile, prepare buttercream.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, and enough powdered sugar to form a thick but spreadable frosting.
  • Whip until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Pipe onto torte with a star tip.
