This easy and delicious porterhouse recipe results in a perfectly cooked porterhouse steak every single time.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 ounces Porterhouse Steak
  • 1 pinch of Salt and Pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Butter divided in half

Instructions
 

  • Remove steak from the refrigerator and place on a tray. Allow steak to come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and place a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat.
  • Using paper towel, dry both sides of the steak and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Melt half of the butter in the skillet and place the steak into the skillet, searing each side for about four minutes.
  • Transfer the steak to the oven and cook for about 10 - 12 minutes or until 120 degrees Fahrenheit for medium rare.
  • Remove steak from heat and divide the remaining butter evenly and place at the center the steak.
  • Tent in aluminum foil and rest for 10 minutes before serving.
