Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Cranberries
  • 3/4 cup Pecans
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 2 large Egg lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Almond Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 and butter a cake pan or pie pan.
  • Add cranberries to the bottom of this pan. Sprinkle in chopped pecans; sprinkle in 2/3 cup sugar.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, a cup of sugar, melted butter, eggs, almond extract and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Pour batter slowly over the top in large ribbons shapes in order to evenly cover the surface.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or so. A few minutes prior to removing from oven, sprinkle surface with a tablespoon of sugar for extra crunch.
  • Cut into wedges.
  • Serve with ice cream or freshly whipped cream.
