- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 1/2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Whole Milk Cream is even better
- 1/4 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 cup Ground Parmesan Cheese
In a small saucepan, melt the butter. While it melts, grate in the garlic clove with a microplane grater.
Saute the garlic until it’s fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Whisk in the flour, and cook until it’s absorbed, about 30 seconds.
Stir in the milk, salt and pepper and bring to a simmer to thicken, about 3 minutes.
Remove from heat, slowly stir in the cheese a little at a time.
Use immediately, or cover and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
