Chocolate Peppermint Croissants Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon Peppermint Extract Optional
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Thawed but still cold
  • 1/4 cup Crushed Candy Cane Pieces

Instructions
 

  • In medium size pot add whipping cream, chocolate chips and extract (if you want an extra taste of peppermint).
  • Allow to come to a boil over medium heat.
  • Cool in refrigerator for 30 mins.
  • When cooled, make 6 1-inch balls and place in freezer for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Prepare cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out puff pastry and cut into 6 long rectangles.
  • Place a ganache ball on the long end of each pastry. Roll and tuck starting from the long end to the short end.
  • Place on cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool. Drizzle with extra ganache and sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
  • Serve and ENJOY!
