Chocolate Cornflake Cakes are one of the easiest desserts to make! Popular in British schools where they are enjoyed after lunch, they need no baking and are fun to make with your kids.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 1/2 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 1/2 ounces Chocolate (use chunks of milk or dark chocolate)
  • 3 tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
  • 4 cups Cornflakes

Instructions
 

  • Combine the butter, chocolate and syrup in a microwavable bowl.
  • Heat in 30 second bursts - stirring well each time - until the mixture is melted, well combined and smooth.
  • Meanwhile, place the cornflakes into a large bowl.
  • When the chocolate mixture is melted, pour it over the cornflakes and immediately stir gently, so that all the cornflakes are covered in the chocolate mixture.
  • Put spoonfuls in a muffin tin or paper cases and place in the fridge to set. Alternatively, allow the mixture to set in the fridge and slice it afterwards.
