Amaranth porridge is full of apples and cinnamon for a hearty breakfast. It's a great alternative to oatmeal!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Amaranth Seeds
  • 2 cups 2% Milk or water
  • 1 medium Apple peeled and diced
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick 4-inch
  • pinch of Salt
  • Pure Maple Syrup to serve

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine amaranth, milk or water, apple, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
  • Simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring every so often, until amaranth is cooked and desired consistency is achieved.
  • Serve with maple syrup for swirling on top.
