Amaranth Porridge Recipe

Amaranth porridge is full of apples and cinnamon for a hearty breakfast. It's a great alternative to oatmeal!

- 1 cup Amaranth Seeds
- 2 cups 2% Milk or water
- 1 medium Apple peeled and diced
- 1 Cinnamon Stick 4-inch
- pinch of Salt
- Pure Maple Syrup to serve
In a medium saucepan, combine amaranth, milk or water, apple, cinnamon, and salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
Simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring every so often, until amaranth is cooked and desired consistency is achieved.
Serve with maple syrup for swirling on top.
