Slow Cooker Pumpkin French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Loaf of Challah Bread, 1 pound
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 15-ounce can Pumpkin Puree, 15 ounces, or 1 3/4 cups fresh pumpkin puree
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • Pure Maple Syrup, To serve

Directions

  1. Coat the inside of a slow cooker with nonstick spray.
  2. Cut challah into slices and arrange in slow cooker. If you like, you can cut it into cubes instead.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, pumpkin, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves until blended.
  4. Pour mixture over the top of the challah, making sure each piece is coated.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  6. To serve, remove from slow cooker and place on a platter, or serve directly from the slow cooker.
