- 6 ounces Porterhouse Steak
- 1 pinch of Salt and Pepper
- 4 tablespoons Butter, divided in half
Remove steak from the refrigerator and place on a tray. Allow steak to come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and place a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat.
Using paper towel, dry both sides of the steak and season generously with salt and pepper.
Melt half of the butter in the skillet and place the steak into the skillet, searing each side for about four minutes.
Transfer the steak to the oven and cook for about 10 - 12 minutes or until 120 degrees Fahrenheit for medium rare.
Remove steak from heat and divide the remaining butter evenly and place at the center the steak.
Tent in aluminum foil and rest for 10 minutes before serving.
