Venta Airwasher 2-in-1 Humidifier & Air Purifier Review

Venta Airwasher 2-in-1 Humidifier & Air Purifier is great for clearing food odors out of the air, and just generally breathing better. You're going to want one!

The contributor received the Venta Airwasher for review. She was not compensated monetarily for this review, and all opinions are her own.

Venta recently asked if I’d review their Airwasher, and I’m here to tell you, not only is it the best humidifier, we are breathing better in the Bracegirdle household.

I have always suffered with hay fever and seasonal allergies, since childhood. San Antonio is also not known for its air quality.

I thought I had it bad, that is, until I met my husband. He seems to be exceptionally sensitive to things like Mountain Cedar, which we have in abundance here in South Texas.

Since moving back to my birth place two years ago, we’ve both suffered through cedar season, but it’s super rough on him. We’ve tried everything – allergy meds, essential oils, humidifiers and air purifiers from the big box stores.

When Venta asked if we’d give their Airwasher a shot, I jumped at the chance. Anything to alleviate our summertime blues!

We’ve been using the Venta Airwasher for about two months now, and we have seen a noticeable improvement in both our breathing and comfort while sleeping.

I work from home, and my office happens to be in our bedroom, where we keep our Airwasher. I have noticed a major difference in the amount of dust that settles on my desk, and on knick knacks around the room. That’s a major plus.

But the biggest difference for me is in my husband. He no longer has bags under his eyes from terrible sleep due to suffering with allergies all night. He actually sleeps. We don’t wake up with raging headaches nearly so often (typically this only happens if we forget to refill the Venta and it stops overnight).

We’re also not waking up with exceptionally dry mouths, like we have done with previous air purifiers. That’s because the Venta Airwasher both cleans and humidifies the air at the same time.

You don’t need to replace filters constantly – water is the filter, and the process the Airwasher puts water through is what then makes its clean water evaporate into the air, creating the perfect humidity in your room.

There are blue and orange light indicators on top, so you always know exactly what’s going on with the machine. When you see orange, it’s time to add fresh water.

About every two weeks, you’ll want to empty and clean the machine. Otherwise, you just leave it running all the time, making sure the air you breathe is clean and not too dry.

Something else I really love is how quietly this runs. Other air purifiers and humidifiers we’ve had are downright noisy, making it difficult to sleep. The Venta Airwasher is quieter than most, and emits a nice white noise that I personally find comforting.

Here’s the best part: All the parts of the Venta Airwasher (except the motor and cord) are dishwasher safe! You can disassemble it, (super easy) and toss everything into the dishwasher to be cleaned. You do this without dishwasher detergent, so it doesn’t even cost that much.

It’s got a 10-year warranty to boot.

Normally, we keep ours in our bedroom, but after doing some deep frying, I moved it into the kitchen overnight. The next morning, you'd never know there was hot oil everywhere. That's amazing, in and of itself.

My 10 month old, Will, also wants you to know that the Venta is so easy to turn on and off, even a baby can do it.

Pros:

  • Everything is Dishwasher Safe
  • No need for replaceable filters
  • Quiet and easy to use.

Cons:

  • Price is on the high side as an initial investment - but so worth it!
