How to Make Dr. Oz Detox Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Diced Onion
  • 3 cups Broccoli
  • 8 ounces Baby Spinach Leaves
  • 2 Parsnips, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 ribs Celery, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 handful Fresh Parsley, roughly chopped
  • 1 pinch of Sea Salt, to taste
  • 1 pinch of Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Dry Lentils, or other plant-based protein (see notes above)
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Potato, cooked and cubed (optional)

Directions

  1. In a stockpot, fry the onions and garlic.
  2. Add all the rest of the ingredients except the sweet potato cubes, plus enough water to cover. 
  3. Boil until everything is soft.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Add the cooked sweet potato cubes before serving if desired.
