  • 3 large yams or sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1 cup pecans (chopped )
