Southern-Style Cornbread

Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen

 

Fabulous cornbread recipe that's sweet and moist. Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour (bleached flour toughens baked goods)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp. molasses
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients until well blended. Pour into a greased 9x9” baking dish and bake at 425° for 20-25 minutes.
