Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen

 

Tasty home-baked bread using the breadmaker! This two-pound loaf takes about 5 minutes to prepare and bakes on the wheat cycle for approximately 4 hours.

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cup hot water
  • 3 tbsp. powdered milk
  • 2 tbsp. Crisco shortening
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. Grandma’s molasses
  • 1 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup King Arthur whole wheat flour
  • 2 2/3 cups King Arthur bread flour (NOT all-purpose flour)
  • 2/3 cup Hodgson Mills rye flour
  • 2 tbsp. Nestle's cocoa
  • 2 tsp. instant coffee granules
  • 2 tsp. caraway seeds
  • 1 3/4 tsp. active dry bread machine yeast
  • 4 tsp. Hodgson Mills vital wheat gluten
