Pinto Bean Chili

Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen


This hot and spicy chili is filled with 2 kinds of beans, ground beef seasoned with homemade taco seasoning, and lots of veggies. Gluten free and clean eating.


  • 2 lbs. 93% or 96% lean ground beef (cooked and drained )
  • 2 batches Homemade Taco Seasoning (or 2 packets taco seasoning )
  • 1 large white or yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 leek (green top removed, sliced)
  • 2 ribs celery (diced)
  • 2 14.5-oz. cans diced tomatoes with green chilies (undrained)
  • 29 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 large green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 large orange bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp. parsley
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 15-oz. cans white cannellini beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 2 15-oz. cans pinto beans (rinsed and drained)
  • cheddar and monterey jack cheeses (for garnish, if desired)
  • sour cream (for garnish)
  • green onions (sliced, for garnish, if desired)
  • cilantro (chopped, for garnish)
