Island Chaat is an island fresh adaptation of the popular Indian street food “Chaat”. This is a unique pairing of grilled sweet potato with mango yogurt, coconut and Indian papaya chutney.

Ingredients

  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup Mango pieces
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cups Yogurt (Regular or Greek)
  • 2-3 tablespoon Honey or Agave (per taste)
  • 4-6 tablespoon Coconut (grated)
  • 2 slices pineapple
  • 1-2 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 Papaya (peeled and ground)
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fennel seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala (Indian hot spice)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
  • Lemon juice (per taste)
  • 8-10 Raisins
  • 3-4 tablespoon Bhujiya or Potato Bhujiya or Sev (Indian savory snack)
