Healthy Thumbprint Cookies are a great treat to have on hand when you get a sweet craving. Chocolate, cherries, and a beautiful glaze make this cookie extra special.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces pitted dates, about 1 cup
  • 3/4 cup whole raw almonds
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup flax meal
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
  • 5 tablespoons cherry jam, or jelly
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
