Cheddar Herb Swirl Rolls Recipe

Cheddar Herb Swirl Rolls are great game day grub. Make a huge batch for halftime!


  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast, like red star platinum
  • 1/8 cup warm water, 100 to 110 degrees fahrenheit
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, divided
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, minced
  • 1 teaspoon bourbon smoked paprika, or regular paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
