Bolognese Sauce

DISH THE RECIPE

 

This may look like a lot of ingredients but it is one of the best and most flavorful recipes that i have had when it comes to pasta.

Ingredients

  • 6.4 oz / 180 gm Beef Ground
  • 2.8 oz / 80 gm Pork Ground
  • 1.6 oz / 45 gm Bacon or Panchetta Ground
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Extra virgin
  • 1/2 no. Onion, big Coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 no. Carrot, medium Coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 no. Celery stalk Coarsely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic Chopped
  • 3 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 tsp Flour
  • 3 cups Crushed tomatoes Canned, San Marzano or Roma
  • 3.5 cups Beef stock
  • 1 no. Bay leaves 1 Big leave or 2 smaller leaves
  • 1 no. Fresh red chili De seeded, (Optional)
  • 2 tbsp Oregano leaves, coarsely chopped Or 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 10 no. Basil leaves, julienne Or 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Served with Parmigiano Reggiano Shaved or ground Parmesan cheese
