Banana Sea Salt Caramel Blondies

Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen

 

These delectable blondies are filled with ripe bananas, pecans and sea salt caramel chips. Then they're topped with a luscious caramel buttercream icing. They're terrific for company desserts, tailgating parties, potlucks or summer holiday fun.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened (1 stick) )
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 cup mashed bananas ((about 2))
  • 2 1/2 cups and 1/2 cups Gold Medal UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour ((bleached flour toughens baked goods))
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 10 oz. pkg. sea salt caramel chips ((or salted caramel chips))
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (softened/melted )
  • 2 tsp. real vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sea salt caramel chips (melted )
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp. water (to make of spreading consistency)
