Fabulous Baked Penne recipe. This casserole is filled with cheese and the meatballs contain toasted pine nuts providing wonderful flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  • penne pasta cooked al dente
  • ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 to 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • Italian-Style Meatballs
  • 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic from a jar
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 heaping tablespoon dried parsley
