Almond Joy Blondies

Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen

 

These rich, decadent brownies are filled with double chocolate chips, coconut and almonds, then frosted with a luscious buttercream frosting and sprinkled with toasted coconut. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, backyard barbecues or tailgating parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened (2 sticks) 2 cups chopped almonds)
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour ((bleached flour toughens baked goods) )
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 5 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups sweetened coconut
  • 2 cups chopped almonds
  • 2 cups unsalted butter ((1 pound), room temperature )
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut (toasted)
