I usually love the concept of sharing a kitchen with my kids much more than the reality. The fact is, cooking together can be amazing family time and provide lots of bonding and fun, but only if the recipes are easy enough to divide tasks.

Too often I have asked my kids to help in the kitchen only to turn around and take control as things get overwhelming for us all, despite them wanting to help.

During the holiday season it feels even more meaningful to have the kids join you in preparing food for the family or when entertaining friends.

With these simple, delicious snack recipes, children of all ages can be part of the fun of creating new foods - and maybe you even make a new tradition of cooking together to welcome the New Year each year.
