A wonderful blend of spirits, liqueurs and pure indulgence along with the crunchiness of the cereal, a Captain Crunch Shot is simply a riot of wonderful tastes and textures.

What goes into a Captain Crunch Shot

Coffee Liqueur

There's something so indulgent about this sinfully sweet blend of coffee and alcohol! And, of course, what's breakfast without a nice shot of coffee?

Vanilla Vodka

Vanilla vodka is great for making all kinds of deliciously sweet cocktails. Look for a good vodka here, made with real infused natural vanilla rather than imitation vanilla flavorings. For a real punch of flavor, you could even opt for vanilla schapps instead.

Another option is to make your own - it's easy to do, and allows you to reach just the right level of vanilla to suit your tastes!

Just place some vanilla beans in a mason jar and steep in your favorite vodka. Taste from time to time until the level of vanilla is perfect, then strain. It's now ready to use in this Captain Crunch Shot recipe!

A homemade marshmallow vodka might work well in this recipe too!

Tequila Rose Strawberry Liqueur

We just love this Mexican liqueur, a mixture of strawberry cream liqueur and tequila. The strawberry/cream flavor is the dominant one, with just a subtle hint of tequila.

Cream

Use half and half in the shot, and a nice whirl of whipped cream on the top, to serve as a bed for the crunchy cereal.

Grenadine Syrup

This non alcoholic sweet syrup adds a nice tang of flavor and a pop of color to the shot. Alternative options include pomegranate juice and raspberry syrup.

Cap'n Crunch

Aah Cap'n Crunch - the taste of childhood! Whilst this shot is most definitely for the grown ups,  it will bring a little touch of nostalgia to your celebrations!

To make a Captain Crunch Shot you will need...

1 Part Coffee Liqueur

1 Part Vanilla Vodka

1 Part Tequila Rose Strawberry Liqueur

1 Part half and half

A splash of Grenadine Syrup

Whipped cream

A handful of Cap’n Crunch Cereal

1. Pour the liqueurs, vodka, half and half and grenadine into a cocktail shaker and add ice.
2. Shake well, then pour into shot glasses.
3. Top with a generous swirl of whipped cream and a sprinkle of Cap'n Crunch.
4. Serve and enjoy!
