Fudge Puddles Recipe

Sarah Grossett | The Gold Lining Girl

Fudge puddles are delicious peanut butter cookie cups filled with creamy fudge. You won’t be able to stop at just one!

Please tell me if you’ve ever heard of Fudge Puddles! Or if you’ve ever had this cookie before, but maybe you didn’t know they were called Fudge Puddles!

Is it familiar to you? Leave me a comment below. :)

I’m very curious to hear from you guys as to whether you’re familiar with Fudge Puddles. In all my years of baking (and I’ve been baking since I was a little kid!), I only encountered Fudge Puddles for the first time last Christmas.

I received a message on Instagram from a high school friend, and all he sent me was a picture of these cookies. He knows I’m a nut for peanut butter, so I had to assume they were some kind of peanut butter cookie.

That’s definitely what they look like after all! A peanut butter cookie cup with some kind of chocolate filling. I asked him what I was looking at, and he wrote to me that they are Fudge Puddles, and that his family makes them every Christmas.

Well, my friends, Fudge Puddles are a super soft, cake-like peanut butter cookie cup, filled to the brim with a simple chocolate fudge filling… and they are BRILLIANT.

The peanut butter cookie cups are definitely potent with peanut butter flavor, and they’re so soft and chewy.

The filling is like a quick fudge — just chocolate chips melted down with sweetened condensed milk into a sweet, rich, luscious ganache-like, fudgy chocolate center. Fudge Puddles are amazing!

These are so simple and are a chocolate and peanut butter-lovers’ dream! I still cannot believe that it took me into my mid-thirties (okay, late thirties) to learn about Fudge Puddles, but THANK GOODNESS I know about them now.

I love them so much, and I know these are going to be a hit at parties and family get-togethers. Because I love white chocolate and peanut butter together so much, you know I’m going to make these with white chocolate too.

I love to do that with my favorite chocolate and peanut butter recipes!! Like with these White Chocolate Buckeyes, and these White Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffle Bars.

But I’m very interested to hear from you guys as to whether you already knew about Fudge Puddles or not, and whether you’re going to make them now that you have the recipe. ;) Let me know!
