McDonald's Has Found a Way to Safely Serve Drunk People

Matt R.

McDonald's is experimenting with a way to serve drunk people without having them get behind the wheel. What are we talking about? Find out now!

When it comes to the food at McDonald's, we're rarely loving it.

We don't care what the tagline says.

But when it comes to the following idea from McDonald's, we must admit: we're fully on board.

According to The Sun, a McDonald's location in Wales has dedicated a special drive-thru lane specifically for customers to walk up to and order.

For what reason?

In order to avoid these (typically drunk) people from driving to the fast food chain and placing multiple lives in danger.

It was so popular during its one-week trial run that the walk-thru lane has become a permanent fixture at this location.

It is only open between the hours of 2:30am and 4am, which is hilarious.

Said a McDonald’s spokeswoman The Sun:

“The ‘walk-thru’ was a local initiative by the business manager of the restaurant to invite local residents to come and enjoy a meal at the restaurant after their night out at the newly reopened nightclub Broadway."

And now it's a hit!

We love it. Read more about it HERE and let's spread the word to McDonald's locations in America.

This is a safety issue, people. (No, really, it is.)
